The days may be getting shorter and darker, the temperatures colder, but the heart grows warmer and the spirit brighter as the holiday festivities begin.  I am looking forward to spending some time with my family for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and surely there will be a football game blaring somewhere during the day.  I hope that you and yours can also share some family time together.

There are so many activities coming and Honesdale for the Holidays is one that you won’t want to miss.  The stores are gearing up for their Black Friday sales, and some of those get started early in the day even in a small town. Just see what local stores can offer Countryside Creations has to offer.  Honesdale for Holidays is an event that is enjoyable for the whole family ending with a Santa Parade and festivities in the Park.  The lighting of the star on Irving Cliff is always a highlight to the evening.

Of course, the fun and celebrating doesn’t end there.  The next weekend, December 6, our little community of Bethany comes alive with open houses, Santa will make a stop at the library, there will be carols sung and cookies to eat. Christmas in the Village provides a wonderful day of old-fashioned Christmas.
