Summer is a favorite time to be an innkeeper.  The birds are singing when it’s time to wake to make breakfast.  The gardens are in full bloom providing many opportunities to be creative with flower arranging to decorate the inn.  Herbs and edible flowers are plentiful for cooking and garnishing the plates.  Warm breezes and dappled sunshine shadows make the patio an inviting place to serve breakfast outdoors.   The berries are ripe for picking to make delicious dishes for guests or scrumptious jams and jellies for everyone to enjoy on morning toast.  There are so many activities for all ages to enjoy around Wayne County making it easy to give guests suggestions to explore the area.  The lawn and leafy bushes provide cozy little spots for guests to linger, relax and unwind.  And maybe, just maybe the innkeepers may slow down, take a deep breath and dawdle awhile among nature’s glory.
